Hello! I am Tony (short for my second name Antonio) and currently I am a Research Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). I got my PhD from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD USA, working with Charles Meneveau as an advisor under the WINDINSPIRE project. I grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to Baltimore for my PhD. I did my Bachelor’s (2010) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. I got my master’s in 2012 from the same institution in a collaboration with NREL working under Stefano Leonardi and Matthew J. Churchfield.
I love renewable energy and have been working in wind energy since 2010. I like playing soccer, chess, biking, and running. I am a big fan of open source and do my best to try to do everything with open source software! 🙂
